Junior Project Cost Analyst

Agilus is recruiting for a Junior Project Cost Analyst in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to a Manager Project Controls, you will be providing Project Controls cost management support, consulting with project team members on assigned projects. You will be providing cost control, change management, forecasting and reporting with focus on timeliness and accuracy.

A typical day:

1. Responsible to drive adherence to safety compliance; develop, maintain and continuously improve all aspects of cost control, forecasting, change management and reporting for the successful PC service on the project.
2. Understanding the project baseline and control budget including scope definition, estimate costs workforce hours, schedule dates and durations and execution strategies to facilitate immediate decisions on project change.
3. Collaborate with functional counterparts like PC Planning/Scheduling, Estimating, Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain, Finance, and Project Governance to guarantee the necessary input from those functions are considered in the planning effort to achieve project goals.
4. Alerting the Project Controls Manager of potential or real deviations from the control budget as early as possible to enable development and implementation of mitigation or recovery measures.
5. Responsible to support Quality Assurance by ensuring process compliance with the PC Standards & Procedures and expected behaviors.
6. Developing and producing project cost reporting requirements.
7. Preparing or coordinating with the estimator and/or scheduler for the preparation of cost & schedule impacts to analyze potential PCN.

Successful candidates will have:

1. 1-5 years of Project Controls experience preferably in the Oil & Gas, IT industry.
2. Must have strong experience with experience in Power BI / Power Apps.
3. Key requirement is experience creating reports and apps within that systems environment.
4. Post-secondary degree, diploma or equivalent.

Total rewards:

1. Mon - Fri - 40 hours per week.
2. No option for hybrid or remote work arrangements.
3. Calgary downtown office.
4. 1 year contract.
