Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Junior Project Accountant for a 3-month contract in the architecture sector. You will partner with Project Managers and Architects to ensure projects are billed accurately and stay on budget from concept to completion.

Responsibilities include project setup, monthly billing, cost tracking, and budgeting support. Strong MS Excel skills and BST Global experience are highly valued; excellent communication and detail orientation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Project accounting experience within professional services, architecture, engineering, or construction.
• Advanced MS Excel and BST Global experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain project profiles; execute monthly billing and handle disbursement invoices.
• Track consultant costs vs budgets; reconcile invoices and manage sub-consultant payments (pay-when-paid).
• Review monthly project reports; assist in building budgets with Project Architects and flag variances.
• Support ad-hoc reporting while aligning with firm accounting policies.
