Job Description

We are currently seeking a junior Program Financial Analyst to join our Ottawa office. Reporting to the Manager of Program Analysis, this role requires a solid background in accounting and financial reporting, along with a strong understanding of financial principles in a business environment.

This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial analysis and well-informed recommendations to support operational decision-making. Your insights will contribute directly to the achievement of the company’s financial goals and objectives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality financial support with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and business impact.

In this role, primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Provide timely financial analysis and support to the manufacturing team for an assigned portfolio of projects, conduct scheduled corporate reports and reconciliations,
  • Support with quarterly project forecasts and all related project invoicing.
  • Support program audit requirements and requests for financial data.
  • Work with program managers, financial analysts, and commercial officers to generate, consolidate and reconcile invoices and invoicing support as required.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of related professional work experience.
  • Proficient with MS Excel and experience using ERP financial systems (ie Oracle).
  • Analytical capacity to identify trends and problems early-on in the program cycle and communicate recommendations effectively with team members and management.
  • Ability to grasp understanding of project cost and accounting principles.
  • Working towards the completion of an accounting designation would be an asset
