About this team: From concept through to pre-production stage, Product Development is the front-line regarding communication with the finished goods vendor base, launching sketches, requesting sampling, fitting product, and keeping an accurate data library of the product lifecycle. The team collaborates with Design, Concept, Global Fit, Technical Development, Quality, Merchandising, Finished Goods Sourcing, Raw Materials, and Go To Market to deliver a market-ready product.

A day in the life: The Junior Product Developer supports the organization under the mentorship of senior developers to drive the commercialization of products.

Responsibilities

1. Set up and oversee mid to low complexity styles from concept to production readiness.
2. Manage style BoMs and tech packs, update color BoMs, and complete Bamboo Rose cost triggers.
3. Maintain data integrity in PLM systems and organize workflow to meet GTM timelines.
4. Participate in product fittings and meetings, working closely with Technical Development.
5. Build relationships with external vendors and support risk assessments and style development.
6. Develop pre-costing skills and update on style status and mitigation plans.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Technical Design, Product Management, or related fields.
2. Minimum 2 years industry experience, preferably in Product Development or Sourcing.
3. Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Suite, and PLM software.
4. Attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
5. Familiarity with Gerber Pattern Making, 3D software is a plus.
6. Ability to lift 10kg.

Additional Information

Authorization to work in Canada is required. Compensation ranges from $64,100 to $84,100 annually, with benefits including health, dental, retirement plans, employee discounts, and more. The role is onsite, full-time, in Burnaby or Richmond, BC, with an entry-level seniority.
