Junior Processing Analyst to review and recalculate pension work salaries - 6388
Contract Duration: 6 months
Project:
Bill 124 capped salary increases for public sector workers to one per cent a year for three years. Following various orders and agreements relating to Bill 124, retroactive salary increases are being paid and reported for impacted members.
The administration of Bill 124 retroactive salary increases for eligible members involves significant effort, representing more than five times the volume of change we typically process each year. We need review and process files for:
+160,000 working members with benefit service within the retroactive period
+22,000 pensions put into pay within the retroactive period.
As a result we are augmenting our workforce for a period of one year in order to process this increased volume of work.
Must Haves:
2-5+ Years of experience as a Processing Analyst or Similar Role
Using strong quantitative, mathematical, and critical thinking skills, calculate and process a variety of pension products.
Ability to evaluate information, to check for conformity with present standards and to authorize and execute a solution within those limits.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn (independently and via formal Training) all aspects of the manual pension recalculation
Thorough review and recalculation of the member’s pension as per procedures
Maintain an acceptable Quality Assurance rate as determined by the business
Maintain productivity requirements as set out by the Manager/Senior
