Job summary

Bantrel is seeking a Junior Process Engineer to join our Energy team in Calgary, AB. You will apply process engineering principles to support project and design activities, perform calculations, analyze data, and contribute to design solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and field personnel.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, EIT registration, and 3+ years in related environments, plus proficiency with process simulation tools such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (or related) is required and EIT registration with progress toward P.Eng.
• Minimum 3 years in design/engineering, startup, operations or related environments.
• Knowledge of process engineering fundamentals, PFDs, P&IDs, and process design.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design criteria relevant to process engineering.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; proficient with MS Office/SharePoint and PDF markup.

Responsibilities

• Perform process discipline work including calculations, specifications, plans and studies of basic complexity.
• Contribute to process design, simulations, and development of PFDs and P&IDs; assist in drawings and equipment design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to support project execution.
• Review equipment designs and provide comments within established guidelines.
• Act as a strong team player within the home office engineering team.
