What will you do?

  • Manage the management switches and routers in the Quality Engineering (QE) lab by implementing a robust security policy, ensuring the firmware version of the devices is up-to-date, and monitoring the network traffic within the QE network.
  • Administer the add, remove and change requests in the QE LAB and the QE network with an approval process and documentation.
  • Manage the network assets in QE, which includes servers, PCs, management switches, and routers.
  • Order devices, test equipment, and network peripherals for the QE department.
  • Assist the members in the QE team with the cabling and to mount devices in the test racks.

What will you need to succeed?

  • University or college degree in Computer Networks.
  • Experience in configuring Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 technologies: RSTP, VLAN, Ethernet.
  • Knowledge of Layer 3 technologies: OSPF, BGP, RIP, SNMP, VRRP, QoS.
  • Knowledge of Security protocols: IPsec-VPN, Radius, Firewall.
  • Knowledge of OSI Model and TCP/IP protocol stack.
  • Configuring Linux systems experience an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Must be able to work on-site an average of 3 days/week.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
