Bring your MS Power Apps expertise to Improving’s Microsoft BI team in Canada and embark on a growth-oriented career within a strongly culture-focused organization! Reporting to the Director of Consulting, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing innovative Power Apps and Power BI solutions, starting with a major client in Vancouver and expanding to others seeking innovative Power Apps solutions. We're looking for a BI Developer who can understand and realize our clients' visions, collaborating seamlessly with local and remote teams across Canada to implement solutions that meet their needs. What’s the Day to Day Like?

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional distributed agile team to deliver incremental value
  • Build on project and technical/architecture documentation
  • Work collaboratively and pragmatically
  • Manage customer expectations to achieve high satisfaction
  • Apply your user usability skills and insights
  • Engage with team members and knowledge pods to overcome challenges
  • Manage your work and time in a primarily remote role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement custom business applications using Microsoft Power Apps (primarily Canvas apps)
  • Integrate Power Apps with data sources such as SharePoint, Data Lakes, DataVerse, and Azure SQL Server
  • Create Power Automate flows for approval processes as needed
  • Communicate with clients to understand requirements, validate solutions, and support UAT
  • Contribute to technical blueprints, architecture documentation, and knowledge transfer
  • Maintain code and component repositories to ensure quality and version control
  • Plan and execute analytics change activities using Azure DevOps
  • Proactively suggest improvements in data and analytics
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure applications and reports meet standards
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed applications

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps development
  • Experience with Power Automate and Power BI
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Qualification:

  • 1-2 years of commercially completed Power Apps projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Microsoft Power Apps certification preferred
