Junior Mechanical CAD Designer

CANDU Energy Inc./AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. is seeking a qualified Junior Mechanical CAD Designer to support engineering roles for nuclear projects, including new builds in Ontario, international projects, refurbishment, and plant operation support modifications for nuclear power plants.

Location – Mississauga, ON

Your role within the team:

This position involves working on fast-paced, technically complex nuclear projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing electronic documents in AutoCAD and Microstation, including sketching and 3D modeling.
  • Managing documents following client-driven file management systems.
  • Preparing engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems in accordance with quality assurance programs and project requirements.
  • Applying relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, coordinating with the design team for compliance.
  • Interfacing with engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle to provide practical solutions.
  • Working collaboratively to promote a positive work environment.
