The Material Handling group of Fluor’s Mining and Metals business line is involved in all aspects of design, engineering, and construction of large scale belt conveyors, crushing and screening stations, bulk material storage and reclaim solutions, rail loading and unloading facilities. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced designers and engineers and be responsible for creation of 3D CAD models and 2D CAD drawings to support our clients’ Projects. This position will require ability in CAD along with good basic engineering knowledge and mechanical acumen in order to efficiently lay out facilities.
Responsibilities include:
• Create layouts of industrial facilities and arrange mechanical equipment in accordance with best practices while supporting maintainability, constructability, and operability
• Prepare intermediate complexity Computer Aided Design (CAD) 3D models and use knowledge to develop designs
• Prepare 2D Drawings based on 3D model cuts
• Provide close interface with other discipline functions such as structural, electrical, and civil
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
Basic Job Requirements
• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two (2) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials
• Practical field experience
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e- mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
Preferred Qualifications
• Three years of cumulative work experience in a related industry or role especially related to large scale bulk material handling equipment (eg. conveyors, crushers, screens)
Knowledge of:
• Bentley Microstation CAD Software (for 2D drawings)
• 3D modeling software (Intergraph SP3D)
Salary Range
54,500 to 92,500
Market Rate
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
