Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services is looking for an Assistant Lifeguard in Quebec to provide quality leisure programs and ensure the safety of military members and their families. Candidates must possess current Bronze Cross certification and have experience dealing with the public, including children. Job description

The Role

The Assistant Lifeguard plays an important role, providing quality leisure programs, services and ensuring the safety of our military members and their families. Assistant lifeguards, in support of facility lifeguards, are responsible for the safety and well‑being of members. They supervise zones or specific equipment or activities requiring targeted supervision (e.g., water slide, rope swings). They provide surveillance over swimmer safety, model and promote safe aquatic behaviours, provide positive public relations, respond to emergency situations and provide basic patron care. This is an excellent growth position for individuals who have current bronze cross certification and want to develop as a lifeguard.

  • An acceptable combination of education, training and experience will be considered
  • Current Bronze Cross certification
  • Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification, an asset

Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
