Baker McKenzie’s Tax Practice expertly covers all aspects of tax planning and transactions, dispute resolution (both administrative and litigation), tax policy, transfer pricing, indirect taxes and wealth management tax advice and planning.

The Toronto office of Baker McKenzie seeks a Junior-Level Tax Planning Associate for its International Tax Practice. We advise clients on a wide range of international/cross-border corporate tax issues. Our tax planning practice involves acting for mergers and acquisitions, global corporate integrations and divisions, joint ventures, dispositions and spin-offs in addition to providing advice to multinational companies in their day-to-day operations. Our planning practice applies highly technical rules to our clients’ businesses to effect the best tax treatment under the applicable rules and policy and manage their Canadian tax risks efficiently.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of1-3 years of relevant experience in transactional tax and related advisory work. The candidate must have strong analytical and writing skills, exceptional speaking and interpersonal skills and the ability to function smoothly in a global-team environment with culturally diverse team members. A Masters in Tax Law and/or the CPA's In-depth Tax Program will be favorably considered.
