Prerequisites

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Canada in Engineering
  • 0 - 6 years of work experience in the pipeline industry for liquid hydrocarbon operations .
  • Skills : Critical Thinking / Problem Solving, Hydraulic Software Simulations, Programming, Technical Writing, Technical Documentation, Algorithmic Problem Solving
  • Required Tech Stack : Office Suite
  • Preferred Tech Stack : AFT Fathom, DNV Synergi Pipeline Simulator, VBA, Python

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive crude oil terminal and pipeline computer hydraulic models.
  • Perform steady state and transient simulations and conduct hydraulic analysis on the results.
  • Perform software coding related to hydraulic software, leak detection systems and pipeline trainers.
  • Troubleshoot problems with pipeline equipment and operability due to hydraulic and capacity constraints.
  • Offer cost-effective solutions to pipeline hydraulic designs and transient surge mitigation strategies.
  • Write, review and develop technical reports in a concise and timely manner.
  • Follow proper engineering practices. Adhere to all relevant internal and external standards.
  • Initiate meetings, correspondence, and discussions with clients during RFI and review processes.
  • Develop knowledge and proficiency with the use of in-house and industry-recognized hydraulic simulation and data analytic tools.
  • Support other division activities as required.
