Job Description

We seek a Junior-Intermediate Information Developer passionate about technical writing to join our Integrated Logistics Support team. You will research, create, and maintain high-quality user documentation and technical content for our products and services. Responsibilities include:

  1. Develop technical publications such as user guides, manuals, and online help according to design and requirements.
  2. Write, edit, and proofread technical documents.
  3. Review and validate content for accuracy and completeness.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers.
  5. Translate requirements into actionable tasks using various tools.
  6. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Technical/Professional Writing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or Information Developer.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical data into clear end-user publications.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work.
  • Strong understanding of technical writing principles.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency with requirement management tools like DOORs.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.

Preferred additional experience includes:

  • Familiarity with documentation tools like MadCap Flare, Arbortext Editor, Adobe FrameMaker.
  • Experience with CMS and version control systems such as GitLab.
  • Knowledge of XML, XSL, or other markup languages.

Applicants must meet security requirements, including Canadian Controlled Goods registration and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Must be eligible to work in Canada.
