Job summary

Onterris is seeking an Environmental Scientist or Technologist for our Swift Current office. You will support multiple projects with multidisciplinary staff, regulators, and clients, contributing to field investigations and data interpretation.

The role involves supervising subcontractors, preparing reports and cost estimates, and coordinating timelines and budgets to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in consulting on assessment, reclamation, remediation and monitoring projects is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret field data and support technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist with simple to moderately complex site investigations or reclamation projects.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Interpret field data to support field decisions and client needs.
• Prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates.
• Communicate with clients and project stakeholders; manage timelines and budgets.
• Support senior technical advisors to deliver high-quality products.

As an Environmental Scientist or Technologist, in our Swift Current office , you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $26.00 to $37.00 commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location

To thrive in this role,you’llbe comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

• Lead andassistwith simple to moderately complex contaminated site field investigations or reclamation projects

• Act as a leader in the workplace using Our Standard Operating Safety and Technical Procedures

• Supervise sub-contractors

• Initial interpretation of field data to make field-related decisions

• Work with senior technical advisors to ensure high quality products that meet our clients’ unique project needs

• Communicate and liaise with clients and project related stakeholders

• Manage project related timelines and budgets

• Preparation of technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and summary reports

YourExpertise andSkills

• Experience managing assessment, reclamation,remediationand monitoring projects for Oil and Gas clients within a consulting environment would be considered an asset

• A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology,reclamationor engineering

• Eligibility for registration in ormaintaininga good standing in a professional organization

• Self-motivated andpossessstrong communicationskills (verbal and written)

• A strong knowledge of Saskatchewan regulatory framework

• Experiencewritingtechnical reports

• A valid and clean driver’s license with no restrictions.
