Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience managing assessment, reclamation, remediation and monitoring projects for Oil and Gas clients in a consulting environment.
  • Degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, reclamation or engineering.
  • Eligibility for registration in or maintaining a good standing in a professional organization.
  • Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan regulatory framework.
  • Experience writing technical reports.
  • Valid and clean driver’s license with no restrictions.

  • Communicate and liaise with clients and project related stakeholders
  • Manage project related timelines and budgets
  • Preparation of technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and summary reports

A Day in the Life

As an Environmental Scientist or Technologist in our Kindersley office, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi‑disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $26.00 to $37.00 commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Your Expertise and Skills
  • Experience managing assessment, reclamation, remediation and monitoring projects for Oil and Gas clients within a consulting environment would be considered an asset
  • A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, reclamation or engineering
  • Eligibility for registration in or maintaining a good standing in a professional organization
  • Self‑motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • A strong knowledge of Saskatchewan regulatory framework
  • Experience writing technical reports
  • A valid and clean driver’s license with no restrictions
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Sitting, standing, and walking
  • Lifting 50 pounds several times a day
  • Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds
  • Works in an office environment when not deployed on an emergency response
  • Often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sunlit, rainy and windy conditions
