The Information Officer – Junior is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and professional assistance to Albertans via phone and email regarding various government programs. This role involves handling inquiries, resolving issues, directing callers to appropriate departments, and maintaining records for statistical and reporting purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and providing accurate information about government programs.
  • Ensure client understanding of program requirements and provide guidance to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Maintain professionalism when handling sensitive inquiries, ensuring appropriate responses to various caller behaviors and concerns.
  • Refer clients to the appropriate government departments, agencies, registries, courts, or law enforcement bodies for inquiries beyond the program's scope.
  • Log and track client interactions using ServiceNow, ensuring data accuracy for statistical and reporting purposes.
  • Stay informed of ongoing program changes and demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Must-Have:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • 2+ years of customer service experience (in-person or call center), including answering calls, responding to emails, and assisting clients with documents.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint for document management.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow for tracking client interactions.
  • Experience using CXone for customer service operations.
