Job Overview
The Information Officer is responsible for delivering courteous, accurate, and timely information and guidance to Albertans via phone and email across multiple lines of business. This includes resolving problems, providing referrals, and ensuring clients fully understand the programs and services available to them.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries by phone and email, providing clear, accurate, and timely information.
- Empower clients by ensuring they understand program requirements and next steps.
- Maintain professionalism when handling difficult or emotional callers.
- Provide referrals to relevant municipal, provincial, or federal departments, registries, courts, law enforcement, or legal counsel when inquiries fall outside program scope.
- Log all client interactions in ServiceNow for tracking and reporting.
- Stay current with frequent program changes and adapt quickly in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications
Must Have:- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Minimum 3 years in a client-facing customer service role.
Nice To Have
- 1+ year experience using advanced Excel features (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- 1+ year experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
- 1+ year experience with the ServiceNow platform.
- 1+ year experience with CXone (contact center software).
Location: Onsite – Edmonton Alberta, Canada
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch).
