Key Responsibilities

  • Primary: assembly of proprietary equipment.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain studio infrastructure
  • Support iterative development and optimization of studio hardware, evaluating improvements in structure, ergonomics, and manufacturability
  • Use CAD and prototyping tools to refine camera and lighting mounts, brackets, fixtures, and studio layout elements
  • Collaborate with R&D and product leads to implement new automation features—e.g., motorized lighting, guided alignment, magnetic mounting systems
  • Conduct testing and validation for component durability, repeatability, and field readiness
  • Track and manage critical inventory used in studio deployment (camera mounts, fasteners, electronics, adhesives, etc.)
  • Contribute to design-for-installation processes that reduce setup time and increase consistency across locations
  • Procure and manage raw materials and outsourced processes: source aluminum tubing, coordinate CNC machining, powder coating, part finishing, and final assembly logistics for custom components.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Background in industrial design, mechanical engineering, or product design with a focus on physical systems
  • Love building things with your hands — you're as comfortable with a soldering iron or power drill as you are in Fusion 360 or SolidWorks
  • 5+ years experience in assembly, logistics, installation, operations coordination, and procurement.
  • Experience with 3D printing, CNC, laser cutting, CAD-to-prototype workflows
  • Experience with CAD softwares - OnShape, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • Thrive in startup environments where your contributions impact live operations immediately
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • Experience with additive manufacturing and subtractive manufacturing.
  • Are energized by reducing friction and building systems that scale

Bonus Experience:

  • Experience with flash photography and studio lighting setups
  • Basic familiarity with scripting, sensors, IoT devices, or mechanical automation
  • Prior work designing for rapid field deployment or commercial install kits.
