Our Water Resources team includes nationally recognized experts in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Hydrotechnical Engineering, and Geochemistry along with subject matter experts in Water Resources Engineering, Water Balance Modeling, and Water Quality. We work locally across BC and the Yukon, throughout Canada, and globally on some of the most challenging and meaningful water projects. Stantec is seeking a Junior Hydrologist to work as an integrated member of our Water Resources Team in the Yukon and British Columbia supporting our expanding hydrology and hydrometrics programs across Canada. This role offers a balanced mix of fieldwork and desktop hydrology tasks.
You will collect, manage, and interpret hydrometric and environmental data while supporting hydrologic assessments, modeling, reporting, and permitting efforts. You will work alongside experienced hydrologists, technicians, and engineers who will mentor you as you grow in your career. If you enjoy both analytical work and hands‑on fieldwork in beautiful, remote environments, this role is for you.
The successful candidate can be in Burnaby or Sidney, British Columbia but preferences will be given to those who reside in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC & Various locations in Ontario - $68,200.00 - $98,900.00 Annually
Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario - $72,300.00 - $104,800.00 Annually
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
