We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior HR Generalist – Team Member Relations to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with HR coordinator or specialist experience who is passionate about people, eager to grow their skills, and ready to expand into a generalist role focused on employee relations and recruitment support.

About the role :

As a Junior HR Generalist – Team Member Relations, you'll play an important part in creating a positive, supportive workplace culture by assisting with employee relations and HR programs in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with employees, supervisors, and senior HR team members, you’ll build your HR skillset while making a real impact every day.

You’ll support the handling of workplace concerns, coordinate development opportunities, assist with policy maintenance, and gain hands-on experience in investigations, compliance, and coaching support. This is an excellent role for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, learn by doing, and grow within a collaborative HR team.

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and in addressing concerns in alignment with company policies.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, performance management, and workplace best practices.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, concerns, and workplace incidents, ensuring fair and consistent resolutions.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including coaching managers on corrective action steps.
  • Support HR initiatives, including employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and workforce planning.
  • Escalate high risk or sensitive employee relations issues to HR Team Leader.
  • Manage leave of absences and disability for the Acton office location.
  • Coordinate and execute training and development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Attend meetings outside of regular work schedule to support team members on midnight shift as required.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum two (2) years of HR support experience with a focus on compliance and employee relations in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Post-secondary degree / diploma in HR, Business Administration or related field
  • CHRP / L designation is considered an asset.
  • Knowledgeable of employment legislation.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP WFN) and MS Office Suite is required; experience with AI preferred
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
