Millennium EMS Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Junior Groundwater Specialist to support hydrogeological, groundwater supply, and contaminated sites projects within MEMS’ Water Resource group.

You will assist project teams by applying foundational hydrogeological knowledge while developing practical skills through field and office work. A strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous learning is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience in hydrogeology with internship or 1–2 years in a hydrogeological related industry.
• Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation is an asset; familiarity with assessments is helpful.
• Eligibility for membership in a relevant professional organization is required.
• Must meet site access requirements (pre-access drug, alcohol and fitness testing) and possess a valid Class 5 Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hydrogeological and environmental projects, including groundwater monitoring and exploration.
• Support field programs: groundwater sampling, water level monitoring, well drilling/installation.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports with clear interpretation of findings and recommendations.

The Junior Groundwater Specialist supports the delivery of hydrogeological, groundwater supply, and contaminated sites projects within MEMS’ Water Resource service group. This roleassistsproject teams by applying foundational hydrogeological knowledge, while developing practical skills through field and office-based work. The position contributes to project execution byassistingwith data collection, organization, and basic interpretation; supporting the development of conceptual site models; andparticipatingin field programs such as groundwater monitoring,groundwater exploration,sampling, and aquifertesting. Working under the guidance of senior staff, the JuniorGroundwater Specialistbuilds technical competency, contributes to teamobjectives, and supports positive client outcomes, while aligning with MEMS’ core values of Service, Quality, Trust, Innovation, and Teamwork.

Key Accountabilities

ProjectSupportand Execution

• Assistwith hydrogeological and environmental projects, including groundwater monitoring,groundwater exploration,data collection, and support for contaminated sites work.
• Support the planning and execution of field programs, including groundwatersampling, waterlevel monitoring, andwater source well andmonitoringwell drillingandinstallationactivities.
• Follow established procedures and safety protocols to ensure work is completed safely andin accordance withMEMS and client requirements.
• Maintainaccuratefield notes andassistwith tracking project activities and progress.

Data Collection and Basic Analysis

• Assistwith the compilation, organization, and review of hydrogeological data.
• Support interpretation of site data under the guidance of senior staff.
• Contribute to the development of conceptual site understanding through data review and team discussions.

Reporting and Documentation

• Assistin the preparationahigh-quality technical reportwith clear interpretation of findings and recommendations.
• Support the preparation of regulatory submissions and client deliverablesand regulatory documentation.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in allwritten and recorded project information.

Field Program Coordination

• Participate in field programsincluding groundwater sampling, water level monitoring, andwater source well andmonitoringwell drillingandinstallationactivities.
• Assistwith fieldlogistics, equipment preparation, and daily documentation.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental requirements during all field activities.

Team Collaboration and Development

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Learn from senior staff through both field and office-based activities.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree isrequired.
• Experience in hydrogeology withpreviousinternship or one to two years of experience ina hydrogeological relatedindustry.
• Knowledge and experience with relevant provincial and federal legislation and familiarity with the environmental assessment process would be an asset.
• Eligibility for membership in a relevant professional organization isrequired.
• Must be able to meet the requirements of site access as dictated by our clients, this may include pre-access drug,alcoholand fitness testing, and
• possess a valid Class 5Driverslicense.

• Good communications and organizational skills;
• Understanding of the oil & gas and oil sands industry;
• Understanding of groundwater exploration and aquifer evaluation methods would be anasset;
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills, organizational abilities;

• able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Working Conditions:

• Approx. 60% office, 40% field. Field work and/or travel to client sites will be required on a project-specific basis.This individual may conduct work at industrial or commercial facilities, brownfield sites and/or greenfield sites in varying locations (remote to urban).In some cases, the field work may include carrying sampling equipment.
• Office environment that requires sitting for extended periods of time.
• Prolonged exposure to computer keyboards and computer screens.
• Manual dexterityrequiredto use desktop computer and peripherals.
• Sometimes requires long hours of work.Occasional interruptions outside work hours and travel to other locations arerequired.
• Ability to work varying shifts.
• Required to walk, stand, climb, bend forward, kneel down, crawl, reach and grasp, push and pull objects, lift and/or move up to 30 kg, sometimes over the shoulders, repetitive bending and lifting of items, along with repetitive arm movements.
