Position: Junior Graphic Designer (1 Year Contract)

Type: Contract Full-Time

We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer on a 1 Year Contract who will be involved with supporting the daily needs of the Graphics team. Working with team members from various creative disciplines, this individual must be willing to learn and deliver against a wide array of creative and design tasks.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT:

This role will be a hybrid working arrangement from Monday - Friday, working 1-2 days per week in our Downtown, Toronto office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate high quality creative solutions that are in alignment with our client’s business strategy
• The incumbent must be a well-rounded “budding” designer with the ability & desire to manage many types of graphic design requirements, some of which may include:
• Logo and brand identity development
• Corporate and collateral design
• Editorial design
• Ad layout – print and digital
• Social media content
• Preparation of client presentations
• Support and build on ideas or suggestions from others
• Demonstrate attention to detail, quality, and accuracy in your work
• Demonstrate the ability to brainstorm in a multi-disciplinary team
• Strong knowledge of current design trends

REQUIREMENTS:

• Post secondary degree or diploma in Graphic Design or related industry
• 0-3 years related experience and training in an active design studio or agency environment
• Proficient with producing creative work on Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; experience in After Effects and Premiere Pro is an asset
• Previous experience in packaging design, marketing and communications design, illustration, digital design (multimedia, UX/UI), motion and video is preferred
• Ability to use Figma and Canva/CapCut is a plus
