What you can expect to do here:

  • Assist with a variety of tailings or water embankment dams and waste rock spoils projects, including field investigation, laboratory testing, design, construction, geotechnical analysis, and dam safety inspections.
  • Complete geotechnical analyses including stability and seepage for mine waste or water embankment dams under the supervision of intermediate and senior engineers.
  • Conduct geotechnical investigations including test pitting, drilling, and cone penetration tests.
  • Perform soil laboratory testing.
  • Conduct daily inspections and contribute to technical reporting under the direction of intermediate and senior engineers.
  • Promote a safety-first culture.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • 0 to 2 years of relevant (post-degree) experience in a consulting engineering or mining industry environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering.
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  • Strong technical writing, interpersonal communication, and emotional intelligence.
  • Diligent and hard-working to deliver high-quality results.
  • Ability to prioritize time and demands.
  • Eager to learn, be challenged, and grow your career.
  • Commitment to safe work practices.
  • French or Spanish language skills would be an asset.
