Job summary

Stichting Mission on Wheels in Calgary, Canada, is seeking a new-grad mobile developer to ship a training app that makes gear people own more useful. You’ll work with the founder and our ML specialist to implement features across the app and backend, testing on real devices and preparing TestFlight and Android releases.

This hybrid role requires you to come on-site about three days a week, with core hours 8:00am–4:30pm, and a six-month contract ending March 2027.

Qualifications

• One working app or portfolio project you can demo.
• New grads and those with up to 2 years of experience welcome.
• Experience testing on real devices and platforms.
• Strong React Native/Expo experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build scoped features in React Native/Expo and TypeScript for the app and backend.
• Improve workout flows: logging sets, RPE, timers, equipment setup, history and sync.
• Make API and data changes without breaking data or accounts, even offline.
• Submit changes with focused tests and working demos; prepare TestFlight and Android releases.
• Collaborate with data/ML specialist and biomechanical engineers on sensor/coaching screens.
