Junior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

We are currently hiring for a Junior Financial Analyst role within our highly professional and strategically focused business partnering team, reporting to the manager, PI Strategic Business Partnering – Finance. Working with the end state in mind is conceptual in approach and can assist in managing the full spectrum of strategic/financial activities. Supports FP&A in cross-functional knowledge integration from various enabling areas.

• Understands key financial and operational performance drivers and helps integrate them consistently into our business management reporting processes.
• Support the development/refinement of appropriate efficiency metrics, dashboards and financial/non-financial KPIs to enable effective performance management.
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Prepare financial performance reporting for monthly leadership reviews.
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Identify and drive improvements in execution, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.
• Increase efficiency by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage and analyze information that is predictive and useful.
• Incorporates measures of competitor status into management reports.

Strategic Management

• Participates effectively in the development of business planning models that reflect key drivers of value and competitive environment.
• Actively participates on cross-functional teams within the business.
• Assist the business by providing a consistent approach in measuring its performance against strategy and operating plans.
• Plays a key role in the competitive analysis process.

• Advanced proficiency with Excel formulas and functions is required. Also willing to independently search for efficient alternatives to build effective Excel models.
• BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance/Economics).
• Pursuing CPA or CPA designated.
• Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
• Great communication skills with a variety of business partners.
