Responsibilities
  • Assists with the preparation of corporate consolidated operational and financial reporting, including consolidated Monthly Operational Reports (MOR) and Planning, for management and external users
  • Prepares quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, annual non‐consolidated financial statements, and corporate tax returns
  • Assists with the preparation of quarterly and annual reporting for various third parties, management reporting, and analysis
  • Assists with the preparation of quarterly and annual bank syndication and surety reporting documents
  • Assists with the preparation of financial information for internal and external users including conferences, fireside chats and award submissions
  • Performs accounting for alternate finance projects
  • Assists with preparation of ad hoc analysis and other reconciliations for senior executives
  • Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required
  • Develops and maintains strong, customer‐focused relationships with all stakeholders
  • Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline
  • Understanding and knowledge of financial statements
  • Understanding of full‐cycle accounting
  • Understanding of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and auditing standards
  • Experience preparing financial accounting files (e.g., quarterly, year‐end)
  • Basic business acumen and understanding of industry practices and new developments, including introductory knowledge of construction industry; understands general construction terms and processes
  • Aware of relevant government legislation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization
  • Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Demonstrated critical‐thinking skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and financial reporting systems.
