Contract Duration:August 15 – October 15, 2025

We are currently seeking aJunior Field Technicianto support a stream and channel maintenance project in Abbotsford. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience in fieldwork and environmental maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with stream and drainage channel maintenance activities
  • Removal of invasive aquatic vegetation and stream obstructions on both agricultural and residential land
  • Complete work independently if required, with a sense of urgency, while communicating effectively with the team, demonstrating a high-level of professional integrity and respect for the environment.

Key Activities:

  • Operate gas-powered equipment such as chainsaws and brush cutters
  • Work in a fast-paced team to complete physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments
  • Daily check-ins with supervisor

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience operating gas-powered equipment (chainsaws, brush cutters, etc.)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Physically fit and able to work in challenging field conditions
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow direction effectively

Additional Information:

  • Project-based, full-time field position
  • Field gear and equipment will be provided
  • Applicants must be available for the full duration of the contract
  • Wage is $25/hr
