Qualifications

• Education or training in construction, CM, engineering tech, or related field.
• Prior estimating experience is an asset but not required.
• Basic understanding of drawings and specifications; willingness to learn.
• Strong written communication and document preparation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing proposal documents for pre-qualification, CM, and design-build opportunities.
• Review drawings and specs with guidance from the estimating team.
• Contact suppliers and sub-trades to request pricing and follow up on quotes.
• Complete material take-offs and assist with quantity calculations.
• Assist in reviewing sub-trade qualifications, quotes, scope inclusions, and exclusions.
• Maintain supplier and sub-trade lists, pricing information, and estimating files.
• Support the estimating team with bid preparation and submission requirements.
