Job summary

SiteTalent is recruiting on behalf of a Maple Ridge based civil contractor seeking a Junior Estimator to grow into a preconstruction role. The position is ideal for someone with 1–4 years in estimating who wants more responsibility and hands-on modelling experience.

You will review plans, prepare takeoffs, help obtain quotes, assist with site visits and bid packages, and contribute to handoff documentation for operations. This is a full-time on-site role with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
• Experience with quantity takeoff or modelling software.
• Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong math and computer skills; good communication and organization.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities; work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the collection and evaluation of supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Assist with site visits and pre-bid meetings.

SiteTalent is hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established civil contractor based in Maple Ridge, BC, serving projects across the Lower Mainland. Known for their work in earthworks, underground utilities, road construction, onsite servicing, excavation, and land clearing, our client takes on commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and municipal infrastructure projects.

The Role:

Our client is looking for a Junior Estimator to join their team and grow into a key part of the preconstruction process. This is a great opportunity for someone a couple of years into their career who's ready to build on their estimating and modelling experience, and to take on more responsibility as they grow into the role.
