Mackenzie Investments in Toronto is seeking a Junior Equity Trader to join the Investment Management team. The role begins as a trading analytics position with a pathway to backing up and executing trades on the Equity Trading Desk, reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Equity Trading.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years in back office or trading support, and a strong interest in financial markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 2+ years experience in back office, trading support or other investment role.
• Strong interest in financial markets and equities.
• Organized with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform investment and trade reporting including commission and cost analysis.
• Support middle office with equity trade reconciliation and cash management.
• Assist with booking trades for the equity trading desk.
• Learn to back-up and independently execute trades when required.
• Develop relationships with sell-side trading firms and back office.
• Improve spreadsheets, processes and tools used by the trading desk.
