Job Description

As a Junior Environmental Professional, you will collaborate with our team for successful execution of upstream oil and gas projects focused on reclamation and remediation across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Supporting project management with execution of field activities and technical deliverables. You will have 2 years of relevant consulting experience, and a diploma or degree in environmental science or a related field. This role involves travel for field-based projects.

What would you be doing?

  • Field execution of Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, remediation, site inspections, vegetation management and Detailed Site Assessments.
  • Technical reporting and data management.
  • Ability to implement and adhere to corporate and client safety programs.
  • Effective skills to ensure timely and successful completion of project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in environmental science/engineering or a related field, with a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Currently possess or eligible to obtain professional designation (or in-training designation) for Alberta and/or Saskatchewan.
  • Working knowledge of contaminated sites and reclamation regulations in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan.
  • 2 years of consulting experience specific to Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, remediation, reclamation and/or Detailed Site Assessments.
  • Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time and ability to travel within Western Canada as required.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizations.
  • Proven experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while prioritizing and adapting to changing work demands.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, proactive initiative, and a demonstrated capacity to build relationships and work effectively within diverse teams.

Additional Information

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
