Job summary

A recognized engineering firm in Victoria is seeking a Junior Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Technologist to work on contaminated sites. This role involves conducting field programs, coordinating projects, and developing skills under mentorship. Candidates should have a relevant degree, registration eligibility, and a commitment to safety. This position offers a base salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 per year and numerous benefits including professional development support and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Eligibility for professional registration with a relevant body in BC.
• Strong computer skills (spreadsheet and word-processing).

Responsibilities

• Conducting field programs including drilling and sampling.
• Coordinating investigation and remediation projects.
• Preparing and summarizing environmental reports.

Skills

Environmental sampling or monitoring experience

Soil sampling and classification experience

Strong technical writing skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team

Commitment to safety

Education

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field

Registration or eligibility with EGBC, BCIA, CAB, ASTTBC
