A leading shipbuilding company is seeking a Junior Engineer for their Dartmouth location. This role involves designing and planning engineering processes for ship construction and delivery, requiring a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent. Candidates should have a general awareness of shipyard practices and an interest in marine engineering. Responsibilities include deriving engineering deliverables, reviewing technical products, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
As a Junior Engineer, you will design and plan processes, tools, and equipment needed for high quality, efficient planning, construction, repair, testing/commissioning, and delivery of ships, applying practical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. A Junior Engineer advises on facts, policies and practices related to their assigned job scope across theoretical, practical, and/or lean engineering disciplines in a shipbuilding environment.
QualificationsAll successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
