We are hiring for the position of Junior Engineer (Civil / Geological) at our Vancouver, Canada office.

About this Position

An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Geological or Civil Engineering, must be registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with EGBC. The successful applicant will work in multi-disciplinary teams, primarily within the mining and hydroelectric industries. This position includes opportunities for domestic and international travel and will involve field assignments. Applicants must have a valid BC Driver’s license.

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Site investigations
  • Laboratory testing
  • Data analysis
  • Geotechnical analysis and design
  • Construction monitoring
  • Report preparation
  • Modelling and GIS

We place an emphasis on developing practical solutions to meet our Client’s needs, and preference will be given to individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in addition to strong technical competence.

The estimated base pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 CAD. The salary offered will be dependent on relevant knowledge, experience, and skill level. Total compensation and benefits also include the following:

  • Employer RRSP contribution
  • Eligible for profit sharing bonus and other uplifts
  • Additional paid days off and office closure between December 25th and January 1st
