Join BBA and make the most of your experience by actively contributing to the various stages of the Electrical discipline. We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Corporate Electrical & Automation team to support our expansion in Ontario.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, growing team in our Concord office. Your role will involve participating in the day-to-day delivery of engineering services, including testing high voltages and ensuring projects are completed on schedule. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality professional services and maintaining good relationships with clients and colleagues.

With us, you’ll get the opportunity to:

  • Assist in high voltage testing such as withstand tests, partial discharge testing, and other applicable testing on medium to low voltage electrical apparatus
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with the engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer
  • Identify issues & problems, develop appropriate solutions, and seek assistance when required
  • Ensure that project assignments are completed on schedule, within budget, and economically
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to enhance engineering deliverables
  • Willing to travel outside the province for extended periods
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Overview of certifications and job requirements:

  • Experience with the design of substations or power plants
  • Strong willingness to learn hands-on electrical testing on site
  • Willingness to work in laboratory and field environments
  • Experience with MS Office and Acrobat Reader
  • Diploma in Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering
  • Valid G driver's license
  • At least 1+ years of experience in design/testing
