Job summary

DeVry Greenhouses Ltd. is seeking a Junior Data Analyst in Chilliwack, BC to design and enhance Power BI dashboards, transform data into insights, and automate reporting.

You will maintain product and sales data, collaborate with Sales and other teams, and push for data-driven improvements across our reporting landscape. Ideal candidates have a strong analytical mindset, experience with large data sets, and proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI; Python and AI familiarity are pluses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, CS, business, math or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven insights.
  • Curious about data science and eager to learn new tools and techniques.
  • Clear communication to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Design, build, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical tools.

  • Transform complex data into actionable insights that help teams make informed business decisions.

  • Create part codes and maintain accurate product and sales data across multiple retail customers while ensuring strong data governance and data integrity.

  • Partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to solve business problems using data.

  • Improve and automate recurring reporting and business processes.

  • Own projects from concept to delivery while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

  • Create documentation and standardized processes that improve team efficiency.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve our systems, reporting, and processes by leveraging automation, advanced analytics, AI, machine learning, and data-driven solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.

  • A strong curiosity for data science and advanced analytics, with a desire to continuously learn new tools and techniques.

  • Strong communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

    Exceptional organizational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Professional, collaborative, and growth-oriented mindset.

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.

  • A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve processes.

Competencies
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel including Power Query.

  • Strong SQL skills.

  • Experience developing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI (including DAX)

  • Experience working with large datasets and ensuring data quality and integrity.

  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis or automation is an asset.

  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve speed, quality, and organization.

  • We offer a competitive compensation package based on education, experience, and demonstrated performance.

  • Hourly compensation: Starting at $26per hour pending experience and qualification. Final offer based on experience.
