Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Cost Accountant to analyze and control costs, prepare cost reports, and collaborate with various departments to drive financial efficiency. The role is full-time with hybrid work in the Greater Montreal area.

Minimum degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA or equivalent, strong cost accounting and analytical skills, and proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, and Excel. Bilingual in French and English required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent.
• Proven experience in cost accounting or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cost analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production costs and determine cost prices of products.
• Prepare and maintain reports on costs and profit margins.
• Collaborate with production and sales teams to assess costs and profitability.
• Monitor variances between actual costs and budgeted costs.
• Develop budgets and financial forecasts.
• Conduct regular audits of costs and inventory processes.
• Provide recommendations to optimize costs and margins.
