About the Role

TRUEis currently seeking a Junior Civil Engineering Technologist to join our Kamloops office. This individual’s primary role will involve design using AutoCAD Civil 3D on a variety of municipal infrastructure and land development projects for our municipal, First Nation, and private sector clients in the BC Interior.

Key Responsibilities

While the specific role will depend on the individual’s experience and interests, some responsibilities may include the following:

• Design of infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D including creation of earthworks, site grading plans, road design, and water/sewer/storm infrastructure plan & profiles
• Topographic, construction layout, and as-built survey
• Construction field inspection and reporting
• Working with diverse teams of Professional Engineers, EITs, and technologists
• Visits to project sites.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, strengths, and interests:

• 0 – 5 years’ experience in a civil engineering technology role, preferably in municipal infrastructure
• Graduate of a Civil Engineering Technology program
• Registered or eligible to register with ASTTBC as an Applied Science Technologist
• Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with field inspections is an asset
• Strong written English and verbal communication skills

Salary

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 – $85,000 depending on experience.
