Qualifications

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Pastry Production & Quality Control:

  1. Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, bread, and other baked goods.
  2. Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation according to established recipes.
  3. Follow portion control and minimize waste while maintaining high-quality standards.
  4. Ensure all food items meet hygiene and safety standards before service.

Kitchen Operations & Hygiene:

  1. Prepare mise en place for daily pastry production.
  2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and pastry kitchen.
  3. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  4. Properly store and manage inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies.

Team Collaboration & Development:

  1. Work closely with the Pastry Chef and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  2. Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff when required.
  3. Contribute creative ideas for new desserts and seasonal menu items.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a hotel or fine-dining setting.
  3. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, chocolate work, and baking methods.
  4. Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  6. Good teamwork, creativity, and a passion for pastry arts.
  7. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
