Job summary

Teknion Corporation is seeking an entry-level CAD Specialist in Toronto to build CAD symbols, create installation guides, and develop catalogs in Configura CET Designer for CET Designer software. You will collaborate with Design, Engineering and Product teams to ensure accurate CAD data and smooth catalog workflows.

You will rely on AutoCAD and SolidWorks proficiency to produce precise 2D/3D drawings, update catalogs, and support the Desktop Publishing team.

Qualifications

Post-Secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technician or Technologist.
Ability to interpret installation instructions and technical drawings.
Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (2D and 3D).
Proficient in creating neat drawings for part, assemblies and BOM.
Must be detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Knowledge of AutoCAD LISP and VBA is an asset.

Responsibilities

Build new and improve CAD symbols and installation guides.
Create catalogs in Configura’s Catalog Creator for CET Designer software.
Liaise with Product/Program Management, Design and Product Engineering for CAD data.
Publish installation guides and distribute through appropriate channels.
Respond to questions from internal and external customers regarding product installation and symbols.
Update and maintain product catalogs and mappings.
Identify and implement improvements to existing processes.
