Reporting to the Manager, Mobile Patron Server, the Junior Backend Developer - Golang ’s primary mandate is to manage the installment and delivery of server for assigned property including support and troubleshooting any issues.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, architect, implement, test, deploy, and support mobile app solutions
• Develop and deploy robust and resilient Mobile app servers while maintaining and expanding existing Patron servers for the Mobile App platform
• Build data services and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new and innovative features for future releases
• Monitor and debug API connections from casino to mobile app
• Understand customer technical architecture, install Patron Server, perform system integrations, assist in technical conversations with customers, and provide solutions that satisfy customer needs
• Provide technical assistance to customer-facing teams (Customer Success, Sales, etc.) as needed
• Implement solutions with Linux (Golang, MySQL) stack, and connect them to Enterprise CRM and operation management systems
• Actively lead discussions with customer IT teams and staff to ensure proper API usage
• Balance new implementations with maintenance / troubleshooting existing installations while improving the core infrastructure and code base
• Travel up to 10% may be required

Qualifications

• Accredited education in computer science or similar fields (or equivalent experience).
• Strong experience developing in a Golang environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Golang ecosystem and experience writing code for REST systems in that environment.
• Experience with common server-side technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQLite) and virtual server experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, Rackspace) a plus
• Proven experience in Quality Assurance
