Job summary

Hatch in Mississauga seeks a Junior Asset Management Specialist who is graduating in 2026 or recently graduated with an engineering degree. You will join the Energy Client Operations group and support asset management activities across global offices, including site work and data-driven analyses.

You will gain exposure to ISO standards, reliability concepts, and IAM tools, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value to oil & gas and power clients.

Qualifications

• Must be graduating in 2026 or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Excel academically while involved in extra-curricular/volunteer activities.
• Previous coop/summer internships in operating facilities or in engineering are an asset.
• Knowledge of asset management standards (ISO 55000/55001/5500) and ability to read drawings is an asset.
• Experience with data analytics and asset management software tools is an asset.

Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Asset Management Specialist for a new or recent graduate role within our team. Reporting to the Global Director, Energy Client Operations, you will support offices globally working from our Mississauga office location.

The Energy Client Operations groupis comprised of a group of Asset Management Specialists and Engineers providing support to our Power and Oil and Gas clients. Hatch is expanding activities in asset management, asset performance, and asset investment planning advisory services supporting clients in

• Asset Management System development, refinement, and alignment with ISO5500X standards.
• Asset risk analytics, value framework development and refinement, vulnerability assessments, and resiliency planning.
• Reliability engineering and data analytics, statistical methodologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Asset custom failure curve development, damage assessments, and root cause investigations.
• Asset health index formulation, condition assessment inspections & monitoring, and performance modelling.
• Development and regulatory support with Asset Management Plans (AMPs), DSPs, IRPs, load forecasting, and grid modernization technology business cases.

You bring to the role:

• Must be working towards graduating in 2026, or recently graduated, with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community.
• Previous relevant coop and summer work terms or internships in operating facilities or in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical engineering is an asset.
• Knowledge of asset management standards (ISO 55000, 55001, and 5500), reliability engineering concepts, and ability to understand drawings is an asset.

• Experience with data analytics and asset management software tools such as Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), asset performance and investment planning decision support tool is an asset.

Compensation:

Range: $81,000 - $84,000

At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
