The Role
We are seeking a Junior Architectural Designer to support our Real Property Planning and Management Branch. The successful candidate will share our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect, and Creativity.
The RPPM leads NRC's recapitalization projects and delivers research facilities and real property renewal projects to support NRC's transformation into a more advanced research and technology organization.
The Junior Designer will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, providing architectural design solutions, drawings, and specifications to meet research environment requirements and support infrastructure projects, including renovations, restorations, and new constructions across various disciplines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with contractors, consultants, clients, and stakeholders are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Education:
College diploma in Architecture. Membership in a provincial architectural technologist association (e.g., AATO, OTPQ) is an asset. For foreign credentials, see Degree equivalency.

Assessment based on technical and behavioral competencies, including design knowledge, code standards, AutoCAD proficiency, and client focus.
Compensation: From $66,126 to $91,012 per annum, plus an $800 bilingualism bonus for eligible candidates.
