How you’ll make a difference:
- Attend construction meetings with contractors and owners (may or may not be responsible for chairing meetings)
- Liaise with the project team, contractors, client(s), and other stakeholders during the construction phase of a project
- Participate in field reviews for general conformance with the contract documents
- Assist in the review of project close-out documents (O&M manuals, redline drawings, etc.)
- Respond to requests for information and Submittals
- Support the preparation of change management documents (CD/PCN/CO) including coordinating, collecting, assembling, and reviewing all contract change documents from the multi-disciplinary project team. Engage more senior team member(s) for review prior to issuance to Contractor and Owner.
- Support in the review of Contractor invoicing and issuance of progress payment certificates.
- Protect the project design intent through construction
Who you are:
- 1-4 years of experience in construction contract administrative or construction project coordinator work experience or related fields
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Compelling interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations with a high degree of professionalism and composure
- General knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, building codes and construction procedures
- General knowledge of procurement and contracting principles, methods, procedures and practices including contract. administration relating to changes, claims and delays
- A vehicle and driver’s license are required
- Ability to travel outside of Edmonton
Nice to have:
- Proficient in project field reporting, field reviews, payment certification, site document processing (CCN/RFI/SI) and contract change procedures
- Knowledge about design and construction processes and terms
- Experience managing construction documentation.
- Experience with Onware, DIALOG’s chosen construction management software
- Experience with construction industry management software (i.e. Procore, Prolog, BIM 360, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Bluebeam
- Prior experience as a technologist using Revit
