Responsibilities

  • Attend construction meetings with contractors and owners.
  • Liaise with project team, contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in field reviews for contract conformance.
  • Assist in the review of project close-out documents.
  • Respond to requests for information and submittals.
  • Support change management document preparation.
  • Review Contractor invoicing and issue progress payment certificates.
  • Protect the project design intent during construction.

How you’ll make a difference :
  1. Attend construction meetings with contractors and owners (may or may not be responsible for chairing meetings).
  2. Liaise with the project team, contractors, client(s), and other stakeholders during the construction phase of a project.
  3. Participate in field reviews for general conformance with the contract documents.
  4. Assist in the review of project close-out documents (O&M manuals, redline drawings, etc.).
  5. Respond to requests for information and Submittals.
  6. Support the preparation of change management documents (CD / PCN / CO) including coordinating, collecting, assembling, and reviewing all contract change documents from the multi-disciplinary project team. Engage more senior team member(s) for review prior to issuance to Contractor and Owner.
  7. Support in the review of Contractor invoicing and issuance of progress payment certificates.
  8. Protect the project design intent through construction.
Who you are :
  1. 1-4 years of experience in construction contract administrative or construction project coordinator work experience or related fields.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Compelling interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communications skills.
  4. Ability to handle stressful situations with a high degree of professionalism and composure.
  5. General knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, building codes and construction procedures.
  6. General knowledge of procurement and contracting principles, methods, procedures and practices including contract. administration relating to changes, claims and delays.
  7. A vehicle and driver’s license are required.
  8. Ability to travel outside of Edmonton.
Nice to have :
  1. Proficient in project field reporting, field reviews, payment certification, site document processing (CCN / RFI / SI) and contract change procedures.
  2. Knowledge about design and construction processes and terms.
  3. Experience managing construction documentation.
  4. Experience with Onware, DIALOG’s chosen construction management software.
  5. Experience with construction industry management software (i.e. Procore, Prolog, BIM 360, etc.).
  6. Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Bluebeam.
  7. Prior experience as a technologist using Revit.
