Building a Trader Design System

We are developing a component library based on the latest technologies such as Jetpack Compose to help teams at Trader work faster and with higher quality.

• Drive new features from end-to-end, including prototyping, validation, implementation, launch, and ongoing iteration.
• Create a modern user experience for browsing and selling vehicles via the Trader apps.
• Establish the technical foundation for future features and experiences.

What we are looking for

• Expertise in Kotlin with 1 or more years of Android development experience (including coop).
• Deep understanding of modern architectural and modular design patterns like MVVM.
• Experience building data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps on mobile devices.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate discussions with diverse stakeholders.
• An inquisitive mindset and willingness to voice ideas and concerns.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a distributed team to deliver high-quality, mobile-first experiences through architecture reviews and planning processes.
• Partner across product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement solutions to complex challenges.
• Promote code quality and stability through pull request feedback, testing, and continuous integration.
• Continuously improve your technical and non-technical skills and help the team do the same.
