Job summary

Fundata Canada Inc. is a multinational data distributor providing mutual fund data and analytics across North America. A junior-level, one-year contract role in Analytics & Data will involve handling fund data, ensuring database accuracy, and supporting client service and development teams.

Start date is mid November. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and must have strong Excel and data skills, plus a willingness to learn SQL and CFA-related

Job Description:

As a member of the Analytics & Data department you will be working with a team of financial professionals, in a fast paced, results driven environment. The Analytics & Data department is central to Fundata’s core business operations. You will be relied upon to deliver high quality results within strict deadlines. This is a junior level position for a one-year term.

Key Accountabilities:

• Oversee mutual fund data collection and processing
• Ensure portfolio and securities databases are accurate and up-to-date
• Act as an expert resource for client service and development staff,
• Perform security research relating to asset, sector and geographic information
• Participate in ongoing quality assurance and data audit activities

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required
• Experience with SQL or willingness to learn
• Ability to work with a high volume of data on a deadline-oriented basis

Experience/Education:

• Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics
• Completion of IFSE Institute’s CIFC or Canadian Security Institute’s CSC/IFC considered an asset
• Pursuing or willingness to pursue a CFA or other designation is considered an asset
