Job summary

Fundata Canada Inc. is seeking a Junior Analyst to join the Analytics & Data team in Toronto. You will maintain the document library, monitor daily processes, and perform financial data analysis as part of a one-year term.

You will oversee data collection for investment funds (ETFs and hedge funds), assist with QA and data audits, and contribute to the development of mutual fund analytic products. Start date mid-November.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of securities or mutual fund industry.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Some experience with or willingness to learn SQL.
• Ability to work with a high volume of data on a deadline-oriented basis.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience or willingness to use VBA, R, machine learning, coding, or data science techniques.
• Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

Job Description:

Fundata Canada Inc. is looking for a Junior Analyst that will work with the senior members of the Analytics & Data team to maintain Fundata’s document library, monitor daily processes, conduct financial data analysis, and general data collection. This is a junior level position for a one-year term.

Job Type:

This is a one-year contract with potential for full-time permanent upon completion of the year.

Start Date:

Mid November

Key Accountabilities:

• Oversee data collection process for investment funds including ETFs and hedge funds

• Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics,Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields
• Completion of IFSE Institute’s CIFC or Canadian Security Institute’s CSC/IFC is considered an asset
• Pursuing or willingness to pursue a CFA or other designation is considered an asset
