Job summary

The Credit Management and Banking Operations team at Canadian Tire Bank seeks a detail-oriented professional to strengthen our Credit Risk Control System and Reporting. You will support risk processes, audits, and disaster recovery while delivering timely portfolio insights.

Ideal candidates have quantitative education or equivalent experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a changing financial environment. Knowledge of SAS/SQL and MS Office is valued.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education (Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or quantitative discipline) or equivalent work experience in Financial Services.
  • Excellent written, facilitation and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and develop solutions that meet business needs.
  • Must be able to work independently and seek answers when help is needed.
  • Creative and courageous, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity to help us take bold, strategic moves in this rapidly evolving financial environment.
  • Action oriented, and comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our customers and business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Audit, Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management requirements for Credit Risk and Banking Operations.
  • Maintain and improve the overall control system and retain evidence of those controls.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders and external auditors as required.
  • Deliver accurate, timely reports on portfolio performance and risk monitoring processes.
  • Coordinate updates of Operating Directives and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide operational support to Credit Risk in areas such as TSYS, New Account Processing, Credit Bureau Accessing/Reporting, and Bankcard Account Management.
  • Monitor profile approvals of Credit Risk systems and data access.
  • Provide disaster recovery and business continuity support.

Job description

The mandate of the Credit Management and Banking Operations in Canadian Tire Bank is to build familiarity with our credit card customers to strengthen their relationship with Canadian Tire Corporation. The Credit Risk Late-Stage Customer Management team uses data, systems, and analysis to execute and optimize customer strategies to balance risk with reward. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain, develop and improve the Credit Risk Control System and Credit Risk Reporting. This role also provides day-to-day support for Credit Risk processes and operating platforms.

Broadband Salary Range:

$44,000.00 and $73,000.00 Our typical hiring range is between $50,000.00 and $53,000.00 per annum.
